Basically, if you've played Borderlands 2 and saw the manufacturers for the weapons, that's basically what this mod does.Īlso honestly, over time ranged weapons become a lot stronger than melee weapons. Thanks! That mod should make the weapon generation rely on ''brands'' to give the weapon designs and mechanics a standard, instead of 100% random stats, names and visuals. Could you possibly give a quick explanaion about the mod just so I know what I'm etting myself into. I've just installed Manufacturer's touch, though I'm not entirely sure what the mod does. Something like this should have been part of vanilla from the moment they added manufacturer prefixes to weapons. I'd especially recommend Manufacturer's Touch.

Opprinnelig skrevet av Oberic:Consider these mods for more variety of guns. How about the other gun types? When do they start appearing? Especially shotguns I feel as though those would be really good for when enemies get a little too close. I'll be sure to restart as novakid for the starting guns. Good thing I'm not that far in the game yet. (Magic weapons can only be found once you start visiting Risky threat level planets.) \ However, you will not find these weapons until you start visiting Moderate threat level planets - on your first planet, you will only be able to find Pistols and Machine Pistols. To the point, though: Rifles, namely assault rifles and sniper rifles, have definitely not been removed from the game. (Magic weapons can only be found once you start visiting Risky threat level planets.) If you want to have fun with ranged weapons from the start, make sure to start as a Novakid - while other races craft melee weapons from metal bars, Novakids craft guns instead. In addition, you will sometimes find consumable throwing weapons which are very effective killers, especially when dual-wielded (to split a stack in half, Shift-click the stack, then place one half of the stack somewhere else this will allow you to assign each new stack to a hand so you can throw the throwing weapons twice as fast). There are also randomly-generated magic weapons which deal a lot of damage but come with a charge-up mechanic which can make them somewhat difficult to use in combat. If you would like to know more, consider visiting and examining the things that look like ranged weapons.

Unique ranged weapons are another matter entirely. Is this true? As far as randomly-generated guns, go, there are seven types: Shotguns, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Rocket Launchers, Grenade Launchers, Pistols, and Machine Pistols. But I guess that's the price you pay for being able to kill things before they can even aggro you.Īfter looking it up, I found some sources saying that rifles have been removed from the game. The only issue with Ranged Weapons is there's nothing overwhelmingly powerful like the Astrosaberu DX and Violium Broadswords. Most people really like broadswords, but personally the lack of a directional attack kills them for me, so a Lighting Pulse (3 round burst) Rifle has become my primary weapon, with a grenade launcher secondary. or Fire-based if they're rocket launchers/sniper rifles.

Try to get Lighting-based guns of rare quality for rapid fire weapons (Including shotguns). Opprinnelig skrevet av Hobo Misanthropus:They start off bad, and get good.
